Art Club

LOCAL artist Frank Venton is seen demonstrating the technique he uses to paint local landscapes in oils to the newly - formed Art Club at The Connaught Care Home. Frank hopes to teach the residents various techniques which will enable them to produce their own drawings , sketches and paintings in due course.

He commented that it is a pastime that can be enjoyed all year - round and when the weather improves it will give residents the chance to work outdoors. Frank and his wife Sue run the successful The Studio boutique in the old Albert building on Victoria Street and if anyone wishes to see his work or has some spare art materials to donate to the Club ...just pop in and see him.
