The Healing Music Trust was set up in 1999 in Guernsey with the aim of bringing professional live music to day centres, residential homes, hospitals and schools for children with special needs.

A major three year grant from Lloyds Bank Foundation, along with contributions from other supporters, means about 30 concerts every two months will be held in the Bailiwick this year. Support from Milly's Foundation and the Mignot Memorial Hospital means Alderney is included in the programme. It is recognised that music and singing are great activities for the older adults and particularly for those with dementia.
