The Healing Music Trust was set up in 1999 in Guernsey with the aim of bringing professional live music to day centres, residential homes, hospitals and schools for children with special needs.

Building plans for a 10 bedroom extension to Alderney's Connaught Care Home have been given the green light to help meet the needs of the Island's ageing population.

Residents and Annie Savage, activity co-ordinator, enjoyed this morning very much. They are preparing for Valentine's Day.

We all had a lovely pre-Christmas afternoon at the Connaught Dining Room. Everyone enjoyed this special activity.

LOCAL artist Frank Venton is seen demonstrating the technique he uses to paint local landscapes in oils to the newly - formed Art Club at The Connaught Care Home. Frank hopes to teach the residents various techniques which will enable them to produce their own drawings , sketches and paintings in due course.

Last Friday we had the FIRST trip to the Old Barn for refreshments and for the gentlemen to get to know each other.
